i think cories would be fine with your angels.. my medium sized angels have never touched my pandas and there only 3.5cm .. just make sure you provide alot of caves of driftwood etc.. but other then that i would highly recomend cories!!!
bronze and pepperd cories are great.. a really good begginers fish and pretty hardy

Panda Cories i would have to say are so kool!! i have some and love them.. although they are pretty hard to find and more expensive then the bronze and pepperd cories.. they are well worth it..
much more care needs to be taken of these dudes read this for more information!!

make sure with any cories you get a good schooling size of 6 or more!!

hope this helps

If you want an option other than cories, you could always go with a form of bristlenose pleco, or a clown pleco. If your tank is planted I would very much suggest a bristlenose rather than a clown, but both stay nice and small. I have clowns in with my angels right now, and they are only about 3 inches long. My bristlenoses were not much bigger than that, and the good thing about them is you have more color choices. Also, while I am on plecos, the rubbernose stays nice and compact as well. Just thought I would throw out another option for you there.

I wouldn't get any of the smaller size cories for a tank with angelfish, but I think the larger ones like the bronze, peppered, or albino cories would be ok. I think they would get too big to eat by angels.

Personally I'm a fan of loaches. Queen, yo-yo, kuhli, or dwarf loaches would do well in a 29g. Minimum recommended group size is 3-4, you'll see more activity with a larger number. A bonus is that most loaches will take care of any snail problems you might have.

Depending on what space you have available and if you're interested, a BN plec is an interesting addition as well. Not too large, peaceful, and great algae eaters.

YoYo loaches will do fine in your tank, but they may nip at your angles.

Also, our angles lived fine with the corys we had.

If this persons angle was eating the cory, they probably didnt feed the fish enough.

kuhlies are cool in any tank. another neat, albiet larger option, would be several dojo loaches. my dozen kuhlies usually only come out at night or when food is dropped, but the dojos usually creep around the covered areas of the tank 24/7.

Some of the Board members have reported problems when keeping smaller Corydoras species such as Pandas with angelfishes, particularly large adults. If you're looking for a more robust Corydoras species that will be less subject to harrassment, then one I've kept in the past may fit the bill. Originally mis-identified at the LFS as Corydoras agassizii, it is in fact Corydoras bolivianus. This is a species that needs cover, can be pretty shy, but is otherwise robust and grows to quite a size.

This picture should illustrate it nicely. Note that the dorsal fin is not solid black,, which distinguishes it from other similar spotted Corydoras species sucb as C. sodalis and C. reticulatus.

Be advised, however, that this is a species that spooks easily. I nicknamed mine 'Scaredy Cat' because of this!

There are kuhli loaches in my 55g tank (i think)

I never see them. Last time i saw one (without moving the rocks for gravel vacing) is probably a few months ago. But other than that, i usually never see them.

Get a school of Corydoras & you'll really love them.
I always had Angels & Corydoras, but never had any trouble.

Oh that's a shame...I have 7 of them in one of my tanks-a mix of regular and black kuhlis-and they're very active, sometimes it looks like a big ball of tumbling spaghetti

Yo-yo and dwarf loaches are active in other areas of the tank besides the bottom. They'll even surface feed.

I'm just a big fan of loaches

Kuhlies, Kuhlies, Kuhlies

Yoyos love to nip at angels, I like zebra loaches and queen loaches too. And I have small schools of all of these.

Cories are really cool fish to keep as bottom feeders and my angel and cories exist peacefully in my 33gal.
