Hi,
I have a polka dot loach. They are a great, fun, personably botia with lots of personality.
Depending on what size tank you have, you could do a large school of them, they enjoy friends.
Polka Dot loaches grow to about 3.5 inches, and are a moderately active loach as loaches go. They eat anything, but prefer a varied diet, as with other loaches. They are great at cleaning up leftover food, and will dig to get food. They do not eat plants, and are not bad for digging plants up either.
Average tropical conditions will keep this loach happy, keep in a ph anywhere from 6.6-7.8, temps from 74-84F, if the water is acidic the fish will display slightly more vivid colors, but otherwise does just fine in harder waters.
Avoid methylene blue, malachite green, and high amounts of aquarium salt with the Polka Dot loach as they are a scaleless fish.
I couldnt recommend this fish any more highly.
What size is your tank? What other fish are in there?
If you give me this info I can suggest a good number of these fish for your tank size.

For a 15g, that would be a little small for Polka Dot Botia, but you might be able to go with 3, if you provide plants for shelter and lots of hiding places
