hey ppl...
i recently treated my tank for ich...however, i stopped the medication as i feel that the ich disease is gone...i did a massive water change, put in carbon filter to remove the remaining medication...the problem is, the clowns are not eating...they are just schooling around with a weird figure 8 formation..they never dig the gravel to find some food as far as i know...the yoyos, silver dollars and angels are eating..any suggestions on what might have happened?

Hello, what kind of meds did you use to treat ich? Clown loaches are very sensitive to certain types of meds and can die from them.

I believe the active ingredient in that is formalyn, which should be treated with half dose for aquarium containing catfish or scaleless fish. Hopefully your clown loach was not poisoned too bad and will survive... mine always pep up when given live frozen foods... Good luck with everything.

The only real way you to know for sure is to look on the bottle and see what the active ingredient and then search for articles on it.

How long have you had your clown loaches? When I first got mine it took them a couple of months to get settled in and be active and come out to eat like piggies.

the bottle states nothing about the active ingredients...it has a dark blue solution..any ideas?i tried to search it on the net but i simply coulndt find it..all i can find is just the photo of it..no description or anything..i had these guys for a month or 2...but i got the 4.5 inch guy for almost 1 1/2 weeks now...he is not thin..at the moment...quite fit to be exact(not really fat like CLs that most people own)..but i fear that he might just lose weight and fade away..
