Clown pleco usually refers to a panaqolus species which is what I have and probably what you have. They are very skittish but are equally that way day or night. The more hiding places and wood chunks I give them the more I see them. As long as they are within 4" of a hiding place they'll sit still for me to look at but if I try to get close while they are in the big open spot all I get to see is their tail as it dissapears. ![]() Despite his size in the past month I haven't seen much more than the tip of my royals tail sticking out from under the big driftwood except the 1 day I fed out a mango.
