You guys may remember my stocking list from a while ago(I still haven't gotten the tank, but we saw a great deal....everything for 300$ (tank, hood, stand...all chrome!!))
Here it is: 2 angels
10 diamond tetras
6 emerald cat
2 pearl gouramis
1 BN
What I was wondering is if I could put a few clown loaches instead of the cats in. I really like them, but I know they can grow to be big.
editrry, the tank is 50 gals...

Question: Why not wait until you can buy a 125 gal 2nd hand on Ebay or Aquabid, and then put clowns in there ???

I have 19 and I am telling u they are addictive, and whether you like it or not, once they have taken ur fancy, ur going to buy them for sure. And once u buy them, ur gonna keep them and spend tat extra money on the 125 gal or watever big size tank u want, so just go get a 2nd hand.

My 79 gal is a 2nd hand (used only for a year) with a wooden cabinet and canopy and was a steal. I tell ya, new tanks are fun, but all that money saved, I bought me 19 clown loaches with dat.

I would love to buy a tank that large, but since my house is 250 years only, It simply cannot take the weight....my dad will have to make a brace in the basement for the 50....:#(:#(

Oh, go with yoyo loaches then. They are equally cool, and as daytime as the clowns

They will do very well in your 50 gal. Start with 3 and up the school as and wen u can.

You've got a basement Sounds like a wonderful place to put a 200 or more gallon tankunless I'm being an idiot and not understanding that a basement is already supported totally by the groundThen if you got a *cough*300*cough* gallon tank you would have plenty of room for your clowns

otherwise gotta agree with clowny up there and go with the yoyos...the clowns need 100+

poo....In thought so...I'll look at those yo-yo's. Or I'll saty with the emerald cats.
My basment has a dirt floor, so a tank may not do well down there!
Thanks!
