I have 2 of these guys myself and my 1st thought is that the water may possibly be to brackish. These guys like a little salt in the water not a lot. Secondly check your water temperature if the water is to cold it can slowly degenerate the fishes immune system. About 80 degrees is perfect. Out of curosity what size tank are they in?

How big are they? The size of the tank(if too small) may possibly be stessing them out. If you don't already you possibly need to at an air stone and add some dissolved oxygen in the water. High water temperatures usally mean less oxygen in the water. That could possibly be a problem. Have you tested your water? Is your water quality ok? If toxicins are to high in the water this could be stressing them out and a simple water change maybe needed. Are they eating ok? Any how best of luck to you and hopefully you'll get them back healthy.

Sounds like the move into different tank may possibly have been what stressed them out. When you moved them did you move them directly from the water they were in to the high brackish water are did you use the water they were in?

They need increasing salinity as they mature, but for their current size, fully fresh to mildly brachish is best, and always increase salinity VERY slowly.
