He is moving and eating normally, water params are normal, havent fluctuated at all..... Sam |

When they do this, it looks like they are breathing fast (almost like their gills are vibrating), but it really their jaws moving. If look carefully, the other corys should be doing it too. It appears that the fish are just chewing up their food, as Natalie said. Since cories do not spit out their food, take it back in, spit it out, etc. to soften it like many other fish do, they must chew it up a bit before it becomes easy to swallow. |

I, too, have observed this behavior in cories, as well as other bottom strata fish, and it is perfectly normal. However, this movement is not attributed to grinding up their food for ingestion. |

I have also noticed that on my bronze/nattereri cories, they have spots around their gills is this also normal? |
