does a ph of 7.6 and a general hardness of 120ppm sound reasonable for cory cats?

It depends on the species, but 90% of the corys commonly seen in the hobby will be fine in there.

Most cories are pretty hardy fish, and can easily adapt to different water conditions. Of course, the pH and hardness should be stable, or there is no telling how well a cory (or any other fish) would tolerate fluctuations.

Is there a particular cory that you have in mind?
