With the Pleco you can also feed him vegtables such as potatoes lettuce, spinach, and peas. They will also eat flake most of the time, but should not live off it. Mine loveee potatoes. When I put it in there, I come back five minutes later and there both on top of it with it almost half gone. But that is just one slice of a potato at a time, maybe one every 2-3 days

wash the potato up, peel the skin on the potato and cut a slice just like an average orange slice no bigger the an inch. The potato will not harm any of your other fish, they will also pick at it. The worst it may do is cloud the tank up a bit, and thats if you dont clean it enough.

i put in another wafer to night as the hungry lil`guy i bought didnt seem to well fed from my lfs,and munched up all my wafer from last night.
should i just keep doing this until he cant finish the whole wafer so i know he is hungr or should i do another method suggested by you fishlovers?

you can give him the waffers every day or two. Once you notice him not eating it all, cut back on feeding.

Should you boil the potato??

Just curious.

I've got a tiny little pleco, only about an inch long, he loves tomato but really couldn't give two knobs about the spud.

Hence my question...

My BN plec loved zucchini and was fond of cucumber. There's a post around here somewhere that gives a huge list of fresh foods that plecs love. Not sure where, though.
