Also, I didn't know that the L-117 was a gold nugget. Maybe you're mislabeling it. In any case. Gold nugs like a little protein in their diet. Try weaning it on bloodworms first. |

For most of the larger end species, you'll want to increase the protein in their diet as they get older, i.e. blood/black worms, pellet, and brine shrimp (i don't know how well the plec'll fare trying to outcompete it's tankmates with that mouth. Keep a steady flow of fresh greens going, though. Some plecs relish meaty foods (zebras), while others are primarily herbivorous (BNs). Like I said, it's highly variable. |

I was feeding some live brine shrimp to a BGK today, and the otos in the tank were going crazy over them! The poor BGK barely got any... ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Def try to get zuchini or cucumber, your plec will love you for that ![]() EDIT: oh and maybe try cultivating your own algae rock if you don't have a ton of algae in the tank? You can either tie it to a rock with a rubber band or use a plant weight to make it sink (I do the latter). |
