Although quite different, my Royal Plec spent a good amount of time loosening himself from the net; the net was destroyed in the process. On the other hand, not only does it have fin spines, it has odontodes all over their body that got caught in the net, so it's a bit of a different story... In any case, it may be possible to catch the fish and take it out of water. Then, putting it on something moist and keeping it still, it might be possible to take the piece off. There's no way the fish is going to stay still long enough under water, and even out of water I'd have my doubts. Of course, catching it to do this operation would be kind of a problem... -------------------------------------------- The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. |
