Well, my LFS knocked down the price of sterbais to seven dollars. Now, granted, I'm not a big fan of sterbais, but at 4.50 each, I couldn't resist (I need SOMEthing to clean after my zebras--only kidding t any of the callicthyid lovers out there). Needless to say, I took the entire bunch of ten. They are being delivered tomorrow. I'm thinking five for the L-66 tank ad five for the L-262/ H. zebra tank. Pics soon.

$4.50? Not terrible at all, unless the fish are literally still fry. I usually see sterbais at an inch to in inch and a half; so it looks like you've got yourself a steal if these sterbais are anywhere near that.

By the way, would you mind calling and telling my former work how to do business? When they have fish that don't sell quickly, they like to raise the price. I'd love for some lowering to happen.

Congratulations on a good deal. I am glad the lfs is willing to lower the price on fish that don't sell, instead of just keeping them in a tank in the shop.

Out of the bag (note the fat Brochis sp. "black" out in front. He is nearing three inches, which give syou an indication of the sterbai size):

That's a pretty good deal! I still got mine for 2.50 though . I really love my sterbais. They are so pretty, and are probably my most active and outgoing cories.

Indeed. There is a garden center near me with a decent fish department, but they've had the same 3 parrot cichlids there for months!

Petco's assorted cories tank . I've also gotten similis, real reticulatus (not sodalis), some form of elegans, panda, barbatus, and the regular old schwartzi, metae, aeneus, paleatus, and agassizi. All for 2.50 each. That is an especially good deal considering that my LFS sells even metae for 5 bucks each. The LFS gets sterbai at the wholesale price of $5-7 each.

I just took a look at that last pic. It looks as if one of the Sterbais has started swimming THROUGH the Brochis!!!

How on earth did you manage to shoot that???
