I thought it is a common pleco, but it has the reddish tint to it, is this a common, or another kind?

Also, how fast do common plecos grow?

Looks like the one i have. I was told it's a commoner.
I got mine aprox 1yr ago at 2inches and now it 9inches and still growing!!

I dont think it is a Common Plec but maybe a colour variety.

I agree with Perky, it's probably just a color variation of a common pleco. You'd know if it was anything different, because the store would probably have labeled it as such, and charged more for it.

i had a common pleco for two years. i bought it at .75" long and when i finally sold it it was 7" long.

Definitley a pterygoplichthys sp., most likely the pardalis, or common plec.

Commons grow relatively fast and can reach 12" in length.

I think it is a common, because it has the spots of the common (I have one in another tank) it just has the red, which is still cool.
