i've had a black ghost knife for a few weeks now - i love him! definately a beautiful, fascinating fish. i feed him the wardly shrimp pellets too, but it has to be completely dark before he'll come out (i think it takes a while before they're confident enough to come out in the light - that may be your problem if you're trying to feed him with the lights on). also - he won't touch the pellets until they've softened up a bit - he's pretty small, so maybe they just don't fit in his mouth.... maybe this will help a bit!

Glass Knifefish won't eat pellets if they don't want to; you may just end up with a dead knifefish if you just keep going in that direction. Get some bloodworms or blackworms, and I'll be surprised if they ignored those.

my african brown eats just about anything- his favorite is ghost shrimp (he actually hunts them when the lights are off). i have had my current one for several months, and i still rarely see him eat. however, his growth and healthy shean proves his appettite is sated.

yours may prefer other food depending on specie. some are extremly shy even after being in the same tank for quite awhile, but it will eat if the proper food is available (you just may not be seeing it).

try bloodworm, that is the sure way to see if it is eating. Add bloodworm, turn the lights off in the room so it pitch black and turn a torch on after a minute and it will prob be feeding

I just recently bought a clown knife and so far he just eats little feeder fish. He acts like he is part of this plant until they get close and they he snaps at them. Then he goes to his big grass plant and hides in there until he is ready to hunt again. He usually hunts when I turn on the moonlights (8 blue led's)
