He hides behind a plant and never comes out til all the lights in my room are out and his tank light is off as well. Is there a way to get him to come out and show himself. i would like to see him every now and then I have dimmed the light in the aquarium. And i do not know what to do or try next. I am not even sure if there is anything i can do to get him to come out. whats the point of buying a fish if you cant see it? any help would greatly be appreciated thanks, john |

I wouldn't attempt to make him come out either, that'll only stress him out. |

Besides that, the fact that you've only had him for two weeks could mean he is still settling in and may be a little stressed. You should NOT try to force him out of hiding. That is probably the worst thing you could do, it will only stress him out more. If you don't appreciate a nocturnal fish, you may want to consider bringing him back. I'd give him some time first. Maybe he'll warm up to you. ![]() I suppose there could also be a problem with your water quality...may be wise to check params just in case. In addition, tank size/mates? ~FF~ EDIT: What are you feeding him? Last edited by ferretfanatic at 02-Nov-2004 12:15 -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |
