	l numbered plec. 10a?? red lizard whiptail. advice
_wendy_ Enthusiast Posts: 174 Kudos: 164 Votes: 64 Registered: 18-Mar-2005	we have seen one and are looking at buying. we currently have 6 corys, 12 danios, a male dwarf gourami, 2 dwarf parrot cichlids and 2 BN in our 260 litre (70G) tank. would this cat be ok?? it says grows to about 17cm. would it get on with the others ok? he really is lovely fish. thanks

jase101 Big Fish Posts: 345 Kudos: 273 Votes: 1 Registered: 06-Jul-2004	i don't know the specific species you're thinking of... i keep royal whiptails, Sturisoma panamense, and IMO the only prob u may come up against is food competition by the BN's. whiptails are pretty placid and easily bullied. as long as there's planty for everyone, u should be ok. if u use algae wafers etc, just drop them in different parts of the tank, and put two or three bits of zucchini in rather than one when u feed greens. mine have no competition in their tank and they are absolutely lovely fish - good luck with yours!
