I think an Upside Down Cat would do fine with your Angels.
I have a Breeding pair of Angels with my USD cats and they never even look twice at them. USD cats wont really use the same space as Angels, so I dont think you will need to worry about that.
A Raphael Cat would be a good choice, however keep in mind that they do reach 8 inches, sometimes more.
Have you considered some type of Pleco perhaps a carnivore type pleco like a Candystripe or an Inspector, or a Zebra, or maybe a Clown?
Or have you considered maybe one of the larger tougher types of Cory such as Bandits (metae), or Aenus Bronze/Albino, or Peppers? Any of those Corys reach or exceed 4 inches, and may be more of a good choice for Angel tanks.
Really, we can only make suggestions, its up to you guys to choose whats right for you! Good luck and have fun picking, and let us know how your new friend settles in once you add him/her!

Doradids should be OK in a tall aquarium. And, since Doradids are South American, and share similar habitats to Angels, I suspect that the Angels will instinctively recognise something with noli me tangere written all over it in large letters ...

As far as I'm aware, Doradids don't need to come up for air. So depth won't worry them.

So with all these suggestions, these catfish are alright in a tank of this height? Also, Calilasseia, with the Doradids' body armor I understand what your saying as far as the Angels not daring to nip at them, but let's say they were dumb enough to try, would they get hurt? BTW thanks for all the replies everyone, I will be going right to the profiles to check all these out!

Doradid? Raphael Cat?

With the shielding a Doradid packs, the Angels won't dare touch it.

Not quite sure about compatibility with the Harlequins though. Keep asking, and someone should eventually come in here and clear this up. But you've no need to fear it being beaten up by your Angels. Not with that nice serrated body armour to keep unwelcome attentions at bay.

hmm ur pictus might juzz take a lil bite outta ur ottos, or pretty much anythin small enuff to fit in its mouth!

If you're realli interested in the cory family (callichthydae), why not try Dianemas (either urostriatum or longibarbis) or the hoplos species. Either dianemas or hoplos have enuff body armoour to defend themselves, plus have pec and dorsal fin spikes to go on the offense if need be

My only concern with this type of catfish is with the Angels. They are really starting to realize it is their tank. I'm not sure theres enough surface space for them to co-exist. What do you think? I was just doing some profile surfing and saw a Pictus catfish, that would look sweet in my tank. I've kept them before but am not sure if they are right for this tank.

How about Upside Down Catfish?
They do prefer schools, but would be just fine as a single occupant. They would love a tall tank as long as you have things they can belly up to upside down, like the bottom of anubias leafs, inside castles, under overhangs etc.
They are great catfish and only get around 4 inches.
Beautiful fish and very personable though shy at first.
I have 2 and they are always playing together. They play
"Hop a Leaf" on the anubias its so hilarious.
