can i keep these in a community tank and will they get on with shrimp or will they eat then?

yes, but the shrimp im looking at are much bigger than neons, almost 3"

I wouldn't place pictus in with anything that they can easily catch they are swift movers and may rip the legs off your shrimp to catch it,my pictus grabbed a fully grown zebra danio as it swam past its cave entrance .I originally had 9 zebras i now am down to 6.
