That's strange, as they usually only do that when they are not getting enough to eat. How large is the pleco and how many algae wafers are you giving him? The fish could be getting ill. I remember when my anglefish were dieing my pleco was sucking the slime coat off of them... i guess it is just part of nature though. |

bayara![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 139 Kudos: 117 Votes: 14 Registered: 30-Aug-2004 ![]() ![]() | hello thanks for the help!! - the pleco is probably about 6" long right now and i greatly overfeed the other 2 fish with shrimp pellets so he picks up the leftovers (my ghost and sun cat are both nocturnal, so i already throw the food in when it's dark). then i supplement every other day with 2 algae wafers. i'll try feeding him more / more often and see if this helps out.
