Hi there,

I had a poke about and the only reference I found was to a fantasy/made-up species at: http://www.planetcatfish.com/fun/fantasy_catfish.php

No species entry at fishbase or planetcatfish...

(I guess it could be a synonym for something somewhere, in which case I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will stand up)

I've never heard of this catfish, and a search brought nothing up. I suspect it's a name that is store invented, meaning the fish store/wherever you saw them at came up with this name. Sometimes they do this because they don't know what they have, other times, it's because they want the fish to sound cooler, so people will be more likely to buy stuff.
