Yeah, a royal pleco should be okay in there. They are fairly easy to take care of, and will get along with the other fish you've got.

For now, he'll do great. A tank upgrade is highly reccomended, though.

It's a very, very thickly built, somewhat timid pleco which can reach 14 inches in length. This means, as soon as you turn on your aquarium lights in the morning, you'll have a 14" monster tearing through your tank top speed. Plus, he just plain won't fit--there'll barely be any room for him to sit widthwise along the tank.

so i can keep a 14in oscar that swims around a lot but i cant keep a 14in royal pleco that hides most of the time and doesn't do a lot of quick moving. and also grows very slow. hmm seems kinda of wierd. also it would have plenty of space to turn around even full grown it would have 4in.even if i moved it to my 125g the 125 and 75 has the same width.

Who said you could keep an oscar in a 75 gallon aquarium? A full grown oscar needs at least 100 gallons, IMO. 125 gallon tanks are two feet wide, which is NOT the same as a 75 gallon. Also, as aforementioned, acclimating royals are shy and will tear across the tank if spooked, much faster, I guarentee you, than an oscar does.

Oh right, 120s are 24". Anyhoo, I suggest that you not keep them, then. I've seen full grown royals in 75 gallon tanks (our LFS doesn't have much room for amny larger tanks), and they do look miserable. Given the necessity for decor, you're even more hard pressed for space with these guys. You're best off keeping smaller, less bulkier plecos.

They grow fairly quickly, but you're not going to listen anyways. If you ignore suggestions that is not complementary to your proposed idea, what's the point in creating a topic asking for advice? Doesn't make any sense to me. I sure as hell wouldn't like to be stuck in a six foot wide room for the rest of my life, but hey, that's just me, right?
