They do eat algae and aren't bad at it, though they're not the best. They are quite peaceful, and should get along fine with other tankmates. One should do all right with a bristlenose, especially if you give each fish plenty of hiding places to choose from. Your cichlids might bother the bulldog once in a while, but plecos are very tough, and and can withstand attacks. I think a bulldog should do fine in your tank. They tend to be shyer than BNs. I've heard countless stories of breeding mbunas tearing loricariids new ones whilst breeding. It's your choice, but keep an eye on them. |

Instead of hiding he hangs on the front glass most of the time, and the other fish mostly ignore him. I don't keep chiclids though, so I'm not sure how it would work with them. |
