My guess would be the discus or the angels. Both of those species can get nasty if they pair off and want to breed. Have you noticed any fish harassing the pleco?

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

honestly none of those fish should be an issue because they are all daytiem fish other then the BNs.

make sure the sailfin has a few caves to sleep in, they really love being tucked away somewhere all day.

a possability is he may be getting snagged on plants or driftwood or something. could also be fighting with the BNs. never heard of BNs being nasty but when it comes to territory i know sailfins can be touchy.

It could be the BN, I also have a Sailfin and 2 BN (1 male & 1 female)

At night I saw the Sailfin and the Male BN fighting over food. The male BN was using its side spikes at getting the
Sailfin away from its food.

The Sailfin never had any rips on its dorsal fins until I introduced the BN's.

Maybe yours are figting also.
