There are a few loaches that are commonly called a "sand loach". Can you be more specific, get some pics or include a physical description?

i just talked to the fish store and they said it was Noemacheilus barbatulus.

Noemacheilus barbatulus is more commonly known as a "stone loach" do a search for this on google and you should get a wealth of information. Never kept any myself.
