I have a quick question for the experts. Saw on aqua bid dwarf bristlenose plecos. I know on the profiles it states that regular bristlenoses can grow up to 12cm, of 4.7 inches. My question is, how big do the dwarfs get?

Also has anyone had experience with them?

I've also heard of them. There are a couple site other than aquarank selling them. They seem to be easy to breed just with a male and a female. As the size goes i,m not totally sure i think they get just about the same size.

You'll have to give me a L number or species name, as there are many "dwarf" BNs.

I believe they are called "dwarf bristle noses" because they are indeed a dwarf compared to the rest of the normal pleco spieces. They say the males get up to 5" long on average. My male is about 5 1/2" long IMO they can get between 5-6".

I have never seen an actual "dwarf bristle nose" that is shorter than the regualar bristle nose species...the species itself is considered "dwarf". Also, my female is only about 4" long full grown. Hope this helps!
