i have 7 sterbai - 2 females, 5 males, and they have been breeding for the last 6-7 hours!!! it's so great to watch - i've never seen such cool acrobatics as they attach the eggs to the bottoms of the tiger lily leaves! they have no hope of living, as the tank is full of hungry tetras...but still very cool to have them happy enough to be breeding!

Hee! I'd be so tempted to like... toss the tetras into another tank, just to see the lil baby cories. That would be the coolest thing.

Best of luck to you and your cory parents... I hope SOME of the eggs survive and you find a few mini-cories darting around your tank!

I hope to see the same thing one day in my species only sterbai tank.

Very cool, you're a lucky Corydoras owner! It is always fun to watch cories spawn, as they seem almost frantic while doing so. Any plans to raise the eggs from a future batch?

hah, i wish, sirbooks!! we own a small apartment and my tank is 6' x 15" x 22" - proportional to the fish, it's much huger than my apartment!!! i'd love to have the room for species tanks, as i've had a lot of success with fish spawning - rummy-nosed tetras, pristellas, and sterbai most recently. but a south american community tank it is, and a community tank it will stay. mind you, i will reconsider if my new royal whiptails start breeding!!!
