In my 75g tank i have these fish:
1 hoplo catfish
1 pleco
1 albino rts
14 Black phantoms
4 Gold Angels
1 Feather-fin catfish
I would like to know if i could keep the black phantoms?
The fish iam going to give back to the lfs are these:
1 Pleco
1 albino rts
4 gold angels
1 Feather_fin
Is it ok to add 2 small clown loaches..if not i need some alge eaters that can handle 28-30C,any ideas?
Iam also interested to buy 2 kuhli loaches aswell and i think those will be ok with the discus.

The phantom tetras will be fine as long as you understand that 28C is the top end of their comfort zone and the bottom of the discus comfort zone. The hoplo will get too big, too quickly for the tetras. Consider cardinal tetras (neons are too small and too tasty) and rummy nose teras.

Good algae eaters are ancistrus and otocinculus. Both will like hiding spots and the ancistrus will need wood in the tank.

Well for one thing the loaches aren't algae eaters . I am
not sure if loaches can handle discus high temperatures. and
I am not familiar with the hoplo catfish.

I agree with all the above suggestions. Also I strongly
advice that you resist the urge of getting 4 different types
of discus. they may each be gorgeous and interesting, but
they jsut behave so much better then the discus are all of one
variety. I suggest you find the variety you like the most,
and that is within you price range, and buy the 4 discus of
just that one variety. It also looks so much better to ahve
them all the same variety. I am sure others disagree with me
on this.

Megil

Hey,
The Hoplo i have is 10-12cm big and can be maximum 15cm and he can handle water up to 28C.
The ottos however can only handle water up to 26C so therefor i rule them out.
The clown loaches can handle water from 25-29C.
The rummynose tetras can handle water from 23-26C,so i think those will not be good either.
The cardinals like the water 23-27C...you think that will be ok?
I know the clown loaches are not algea eaters,i love those fish and wanted to know if they can be ok with discus?

The clowns will be fine with the discus. Their temperature range is actually 30C. By the way, if you keep loaches with discus at temps above 27,8C, you won't be bothered by ich, the bane of clown loaches!

I have got to agree with Bob. My "fat-A**" Clowns love the warmer water.
