Okay, newbie question.
Do angels drop egg sacs, multiple individual eggs, what? Will a female do it to "show" she's ready? Does anyone have pics?

About how big are they, when they are generally ready to pair off and mate? I have 5 angels ranging in size of 1 inch to 2 1/2 inches (from lip to tip of tail.) I'm trying to keep an eye out for pairing. They're growing so fast. I got them about a month ago and they were only about 1/2 inch big. And greedy.... Everything I have eats like it has a bottomless pit for a stomach. They can match my kids, meal for meal!

like many cichlids, angels clean a surface and then take turns running their bellies along it, glueing individual eggs in rows along the surface. the male follows the female, milting the eggs. both guard the area viciously and tend to the eggs beautifully. i've had angels breed when the body length was about 2.5 - 3 inches. they may not get it right the first few times, but they'll keep on trying!
