Hi everyone,
I am just wondering in a general way if
anyone knows of angelfish changing color dramatically?
I currently have a young female angel in my 75g tank, about silver dollar size, and I also have 2 turqoise discus in that tank.
What seems to be happening is, the young angel "Rosy"
is turning blue!!!!
Both her pectoral fins have gone the exact shade turqoise blue as the discus are, and it seems to be spreading to her gill plates and belly area too.
Has anyone else ever heard of this before?
I will try to get a picture tonight.

I had Angels that changed colours, especially when growing up.
Do you have any pictures so we can see the difference?.

Is this by chance a marble angel? They often get some blue on cheeks and sometimes fins.

yes it is a marble or koi angel type
i will post pictures tonight, theres too much light in the room right now i will get too much glare
gotta wait for dark
Both of her long traily pectoral fins are bright blue
so are her gill covers and her belly is getting blue too

As angels mature, their coloring does change and adults will often have irridescence on the cheeks and fins. If they have koi genes, these are often referred to as "blue" koi for this reason (as opposed to the gold koi).

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
