I'm thinking about building a small pond for one of these. Anyone have an advice, or stories?

Please, if it is a torture session (AKA fishing) story do not post it. It hate sport fishing. It is cowardly and barbaric...

i take offense to that with sportfishing. anyways i dont think that a peacock bass should be in a pond unless its well over 20,000gs as these are huge cichlids who only deserve large bodies of water. that most aquarist can not provide

these are magnificent fish who maybe the best looking freshwater there is. they also get 30in. having wanted to go fishing in the amazon for them i have researched them and came to the conclusion that they just get too big for any tank or small pond.

By small I mean 1,000 gallons (8x6 and 3' deep). You may take offense to that sport fishing bit, but the truth is it is cruelty to animals. I mean, if they did that to cats or dogs, you'd be arrested. See my point?

I don't see your logic with the 20,000g pond thing. The species ocellaris only grows to 24", besides tere wouldn't be anything else. I agree, they are one of the best looking freshwater fish.

Golden Dojo, I dont think anyone would of given you a fishing story anyway so I dont see your point in even saying
Please, if it is a torture session (AKA fishing) story do not post it. It hate sport fishing. It is cowardly and barbaric...
other than to cause an argument.
Each to their own, end of story. Stay on topic please.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
