Are rams that touchy? | |
LOACHESRCOOL Enthusiast Posts: 206 Kudos: 215 Votes: 0 Registered: 27-Apr-2005 | I bought a German gold Ram today and he seems to be fine eating properly and everything on the first day.....hes about 1 to 2 inches I just put in an order for a couple german blues. My question is are rams really that sensitive and delicate of a fish or is it and over exaggeration If i do 25% water changes twice weekly should they be fine? My water levels stay fine and my water hardness is about 7.5 thanks in advance |

LOACHESRCOOL Enthusiast Posts: 206 Kudos: 215 Votes: 0 Registered: 27-Apr-2005 | I have 1 young angel fish and a powder blue dwarf gourami in a 55 gallon I realize the bloivians may be slightly hardier but i dont find them in the least bit attractive....especially not compared to the german blue. If i stay with a 25 percent water change twice weekly then my rams should be ok unless disease breaks out right?.... I mean as far as i can see its mostly nitrates that are a problem with this fish and temperature, which stays no less than 80 degrees in my tank. So you remove nitrates by water changes, right? Im sorry if i seem like im being pushy its just that i find this fish beautiful and i love their personality, and i see other people keep them happily so it makes me think, why not me? Thanks in advance any help would be greatly appreciated. |
