Is this odd? My Angels spawn every 2-3 weeks, so I sort of assumed Discus would be the same? Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

After fertilizing the eggs, the pair will guard the eggs and "mouth" them to prevent fungus. During this period things sometimes go wrong. Inexperienced fish will forget to replace the egg and swallow the egg. For some reason, this is frequently the female. You can prevent this behavior by removing the female after spawning. If your eggs do fungus up, tghe parents will certainly eat the eggs. Fungus is caused by tank conditions. A lower pH and low conductivity (low hardness) will increase the viability of the clutch. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |
