Looking good eggs still there! Do I cover the light up so to dim it over night? ( I'm a beginner at breeding) never had the pleasure before! LOL

congrats Jacquie,

Leave a light on so they can see what they are doing make it dim but give them the light they need to see.

By the way welcome to the "Im scared of the dark crew" as I sleep with a light on cuz of the fish.

Best of luck mate keep us posted.

Trace, the ones that have the eggs are the one's in the livingroom in a planted tank. Will that be a problem? I left a dimmed light on last night and they were fine this morning. I now have black dots on the eggs

plants cna be good and bad ... good cause it provided natural foods ... bad because it cna mistake the fry and get them lost etc in breeding tanks i think it would be better to go BB with nothing but light, filter, heater

I only have the two in the planted tank. (mum and dad) So I guess it shouldn't be a problem. They have the trigon 190 to themselves! The dots are getting bigger but a bit difficult to see as they laid the eggs on the back of the plant pot. As soon as they are free swimming I'll post a picture. They have been ok since Sat night when they laid. It's now Mon morning so it's looking really good. Thanks for all your good wishes.
