All of my standard kribs, Pelvicachromis pulcher, I bred in 10 gal tanks. Now some of the other Pelvicachromis species get too large for anything less than a 29 gal. All the fish in the Pelvicachromis are ofter refered to as kribs, Rainbow Krib, Purple Krib, Red Spotted Krib, Yellow Krib, etc. There is always a bigger fish... |

They should have the tank all to themselves, and if it's big enough they will raise the fry just fine by themselves. I would love to try this but I don't have a spare tank for the barbs and other fish in the krib tank. Thus I only have one krib right now. When I had more they chased each other to death. My krib is young and every few weeks her colours become more intense and she chases the barbs around, this lasts a few days and doesn't seem to harm her or the barbs. She gets no action from them, they don't seem to want any action from her. "If you're afraid you'll make a mistake, you won't make anything." -Family Circus |
