fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | my apistos bred!! remember a long time ago when i told you i got 2 juviniles from walmart, and noone could tell whay they were? well, I knoticed they were becomming a bit different, one turned a brilliant yellow with black markings, and the other remianed rather plain but developed long fins, so I coulent tell if they were male and female, or 2 different species, well, I was talking on the phone with my frined and had just told her that I removed all the other fish from the 20 long, except the 2 apists, and the pleco, and moved everything around, and made some nifty caves, well i then looked at them and said "why dont you 2 breed already? i mean, you have the whole tank to yourselves, why not make somehting of it.." then i looked up and spotted the pretty yellow one all vertical, turns out it ws tending 20 eggs under a leaf!!! my first thought was "wow, that was fast lol" pictures comming soon! but for now, heres pics of them before i knew they would breed, these are from a short while ago, maybe 3 weeks them together posing for pics the yellow one, after just waking up, so not fully colored them together again plain colored one now, can someone tell me who is who? so they can get rightfull names? |

Congrats on making such a nice home for them. Sometimes that is half the battle. Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

It does take some pairs several tries before they fully realize what they are suppose to do. You'll probably end up with more babies than you know what to do with in a short time. Jim |
