If I see them chasing eachother at store is this a bad sign or is it because they are overcrowded

It depends on their age and size, and the size of the tank they are kept in.
If they are over crowded then they will most likely chase tank mates around. (like any fish)
Given a suitable size tank you wont see much in the way of aggressive behavior from frontosas. I kept 6 for three years in a 180g tank and there was never any bad arguments between them. Sometimes little territory disputes with the dominant male but never anything that led to injuries.

Are you thinking about getting some frontosas?

i talked wit a breeder of fronts once n he stated they were gentle giants id like to get a 180g n have a shoal of them but for now keepin all my other fish fed n happy is costing to much
