I want to add angels to my 55g. I have heard that with two they are aggressive, if not a breeding pair. Should I only get one or should I get 3? My tank will be moderately planted when i get them. I have 8 head and tailight tetras, 6 rummynose tetras, 8 cories, 3 yoyo loaches, 1 otto, and 1 BN. I will get them small, but they will stay in the 55 so I worry about having 3 in there. :%)

Personally I would get a good pair remembering they can get big.
Also dont buy any SAE as they remove there slime coating
and it finally kills the angels.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

You can get 3 & see if 2 of them will pair. If they pair, just take the other one back to your LFS or give it to a friend.

You can also add the Rummynose & Corydoras schools to 10.

If you don't want to breed, I would get one that you find spectacularly pretty and make it the centerpiece of your tank. Thank way you can also add to your current schools of fish.

I may just get the one. I don't have anyone to sell them to if I got a group. I also would be worried that the LFS wouldn't take them back. I am just afraid the one angel would get lonely.
Does anyone have just one angel? If so is it ok by itself?
I'm not getting them for a couple weeks so I may change my mind and get the 3 and see if 2 pair off. Then maybe I can give the other one back. I just don't want 3 huge fish in my 55g. Its amazing how big they get when they start out so small. :%)

Yes, you can get 1 & it will be fine on it's own.
