Hello! I recently set up my 80 gallon bow front aquarium and am looking for suggestions on What chichlids would go well in that size tank. I would want them to be my centerpeice fish. I am also looking for suggestions on tank mates for chichlids.
Any halp would be great
Thanks!

In an 80 gallon, you could do almost anything from keeping one oscar to colonies of rift lake cichlids. It's going to depend a lot on what you want. Do you want to set up a rocky background with lots of caves and holes? In that case, Rift lake is the way to go, maybe with brightly colored mbuna, or a tanganyikan tank with a big blue frontosa as the focal fish.
Or perhaps you prefer fish from the Americas?

I suggest you look through the profiles for the kind of cichlids you like best. You'll get more useful answers if you give us an idea of what you're interested in.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

I would really like to have some other types of fish like Giant danois in my tank as well. So a community tank with a pair of chichlid if possible.
These are the ones I like
Keyhole
Black convict
Pearl chichlid
Festivum
and Bolivian ram
I was thinking of keeping them with
Giant danios
Tiger barbs or Skirt tetras

In that case, keyholes or festiviums would probably be your best bet, because they are least likely to show much aggression toward other tankmates. Danios, barbs, even tetras would also do well in that tank, and since it's reasonably large, you can have large schools of each.

Thanks so much
So would you say I should keep 3 keyholes if I decide on them?
Im sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure I have a well planned aquarium.
How big should my schools be? I dont want to overstock it.

I would go with some Rams, Tetra's & a school of Corydoras, all in a Planted tank.
