hi everyone, need some advise
i had another post and the suggestion was made that a jack depsey would be a good choice in a 75 gallon tank (i am restocking my tank, currently has small tropical fish and i was thinking about something a little more exciting, maybe something to eat live food such as fish)

Now to the real question if I get a jack dempsey what would be some good tank mates? what about pictus catfish? and maybe something that would be midrange also?

it is a 75 gallon tank with fake plants and large piece of driftwood, filter is rated for 100 gallons. thanks

a great tankmade for a jack dempsey is a green terror. They are both very aggressive fish and will happily eat live fish. I am also planning a similar tank.

just got back from the pet store, was looking at fish. I really like the bloodfin parrot fish, and was looking at a bumphead to keep the bottom clean

Are you suggesting all three of those fish as well as a jack dempsey in a 75 gallon? That size tank can barely support two of them.
