I'm also partial to the koi's. I've seen German blue blushing angel fish for sale on Aquabid....they look nice.

Pic from Auquabid!! Wish I had this fish.....maybe when I get the 55 up and running!!!

I think that dark silver lace angels with red eyes are spectacular, but for my own tanks, I'm partial to gold marble angels with veil tails. I love all the finnage!

Here's a shot of some of my angels before they were all wiped out by a power outage: (sorry about the green water that's preventing their color from showing up very well)

They were just juvies, maybe six months old.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...

I would have to say that my favourite is the simple marbled form.

Altums, then wild Peruvian golden body spotted Scalare or Rio Negro wild scalare. There are some really pretty wild ones with the most amazing finnage and colouration.

For domestics, its hard for me to choose. I've kept silvers, marbles, blacks, leopard smokies, chocolates and golds. I like some blusher lines, but prefer irridescence to cover the blushing. Body shape and perfection of fins/form are more important to me than colour per se. I do not care to see dumerelli/leopoldii type body shape on a domestic, nor for overly humpy, elongated headed angels.

I prefer standard or short veils, not super veils or ribbon tails. Combtail, I sometimes find attractive. Pearlscale leaves me feeling hohum. Bit of a purist I suppose.
