Sculpin Growth Rate | |
Natalie Ultimate Fish Guru Apolay Wayyioy Posts: 4499 Kudos: 3730 Votes: 348 Registered: 01-Feb-2003 | I caught a small Prickly Sculpin (Cottus asper) during the summer for my California natives tank, and he has been doing really well. His colors are bright, he's very active, and he eats whatever I put in the tank (even algae wafers). The only problem is that he's barely grown at all since I put him in the tank. Maybe about half an inch in six months. How fast are they supposed to grow? I know their relatives the Lionfish grow pretty quickly. I have also seen a very wide range of their supposed maximum size, ranging anywhere from 3 - 14"... I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
