Are there any opinions as to whether a red tailed shark or a rainbow shark would be a better, more attractive addition to a tank with schools of danios and a betta

I have the room in my tank for them - I just can't decide which would look more attractive, or has the better behavior habits. I'm torn between the two

Could anybody share experience that they have had with either of these species, or their own personal opinion as to which they think is better? I'm mainly going to decide based on looks and temperment.

Thank you!

With the RT Shark you can only have one (yet I have three together 5ft tank) They are easy to keep and always on the move. My largest 4ins can be a bit bossy but this is a feeding time only.

If you are thinking of putting him in a Betta tank, a big NO as it would be too small reason being they like a bit of space to move around. They are extremly fast swimmers and would not be very happy in a small Betta tank.

Does this answer you question?

How big is your tank?

Also, what color gravel, background, etc do you have? If you have a really dark tank with black gravel and such, a RTBS won't show up as well as an albino RS. They are pretty much the same as far as aggressiveness and size goes. I personally would get an albino rainbow shark, but that's just me. I really like the contrast with the red and white.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

I have natural looking gravel; no colors for me. I am also leaning more towards the rainbow shark. I don't really like the barbells around the RT's mouth...

You still didn't say what size the tank is...

As for which, with the scheme of colors you described, I'd recommend an RTS. Unfortunately, like Keith said, the fish you mentioned really don't need either species as a tankmate. Either species will most likely torture your danios and just generally drive your betta a little nuts...

I'd recommend something a little calmer for that type of setup so far...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

My rainbow shark is feisty...

He attacks my Bala Shark and my Swordtails, but leaves everyone else alone (angel, kribensis, tetras, danios, plecos and hatchets...)

So I kinda have a hard time recommending him, even though I like him...
