Silver Shark takes final leap | |
keithgh *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 6371 Kudos: 6918 Votes: 1542 Registered: 26-Apr-2003 | I had a large 7&3/4 ins Silver Shark who regually jumped out if he was suddenly disturbed. This morning he was on the carpet well gone. The only place he could have jumped out was the two corners where the filter intake and out tubes are at each end. I still have large ones there and a reason go go and get another one. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/profile.asp?userid=6741[/link] for my tank info Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I think that it was just bad luck, to pass from a small gap, as a corner gap, where the filter pipes pass. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I'm soon to be upgrading to an external filter, i wonder if this is a problem i may experience in the future |

hckycoz Small Fry Posts: 3 Kudos: 2 Registered: 13-Feb-2006 | I have kept silver sharks for a while and have never had a problem with them jumping. The only time one jumped was whem i severly stressed him out. He landed on the carpet and i picked him up and hes been fine since. I think the only reason the y jump is becuase of stress We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year |
