hey everyone.
I'm setting up my new 6 gal. planted tank today and i'm using amquel plus to condition my tap water...
i was planning to set up the tank today ("setup" as in put the eco complete substrate in the tank, add the conditioned water, and bring some plants from my LFS)... so i was wondering how long does it take for amquel to work? Would i be able to mix the conditioned tap water with the eco-complete gravel and live plants in a few hours? or would there still be harmful chlorine and stuff in the water? [note: i'm not adding fish to the tank today]

thanx in advance for the help

Hi,
With what you are using, you can dump in the substrate,
pour in the water, mix in the conditioner, and add the
plants. Be sure that the plants you are buying are the
right ones for the amount of light you will be providing
(wpg).

Im pretty sure it works right away,
within a couple minutes.
Does it say it removes Chlorine and Chloramines?
I have heard Amquel can mess with water tests for ammonia, so keep that in mind while cycling the tank.
I would recommend Prime as the best water conditioner
on the market.

You should be able to go ahead and set up everything,
ecocomplete, plants, conditioned water today, I dont see why not.

What kinda fish are your planning for the tank?
Are you going to do a fishless cycle or fish in cycle?
