	Are floating feeding rings any good?
fishygirl68 Hobbyist Posts: 97 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Jul-2004	I saw one at Walmart, i like the idea behind it, then the fish know exactly where the food will be, it won't get flung all over the aquarium by the current from the filter, and you can see if everyone's eating...are they any good? Do fish like them?

jake Fish Addict Posts: 594 Kudos: 875 Votes: 2 Registered: 21-Mar-2004	When I've used them, they took a bit for the fish to get used to . As long as you don't have a big fish that just stays up near the ring snatching all of the flakes it's fine and works pretty well.

I dissolve four frozen blood worm cubes before I add them to the tank. The largest Clown Loach actually swims into the plastic coffee mug. If I used a ring no one would get any food at all especially the bottom feeders. Keith Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.
