I am intersted in Convict Chichlids and they are cave spawners. Are there any ways to get a natural cave or would Driftwood work?

none of your tanks ready for breeding convicts, unless you buy a 29 gallon just for them.

and a couple of 55 gallons for the fry.

convicts can be cave spawners, useing flower pots, but they will also breed on the glass of the tank. Where they will defend the nest spot very aggressively.

Large pvc pipes can be cut to length. Then coated in aquarium safe silicone and small rocks or sand sprinkled over them to make a camouflaged cave. For larger fish it's better to use slate or other rocks to design caves. Silicone any rocks that could be knocked over. Texas holey rock or limestone is used in tanks with fish that prefer a higher ph(around 8.0).

They have very nice looking ceramic caves, 5 for $24. I recently bought a set for my African tank, and they're nice. Mixed with other rocks, you can make a great rockpile.
Or you could just stack up some rocks and make your own caves for them. Just make sure you silicone the rocks together so they don't fall down and either crack your tank or crush your fish.

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean...
