I am going to ask possibly a stupid question but, here it goes. I have 4 clown loaches in a 30 gal tank. I am in the process of putting together a 220 gal tank. They are going in the big tank but I want to add more Clown Loaches. When the tank is up and running will I be risking my Clowns health by adding that many at once or should I add 2 at a time and slowly over time? I know this may be a stupid question but I am willing to risk it as I am sure that most everyone that is on this site has more knowledge than I do. Thanks.

I would say you could add a ton of clown loaches to the 220 without any problems. Adding fifteen at once wouldnt even be pushing it in the 220.

Maybe I was'nt entirely clear. Will it be a problem adding more Clowns to an already established group? Sorry I am more gooder at asking questions. LOL

It will be completely fine. They may have a little fight here and there for a few weeks, but after that, they will be fine. No harm will be inflicted. It also helps to get new clowns that are smaller than the ones you have already. The bigger clowns wont see them as a threat.

That will not be a problem at all PROVIDING the tank is fully set up for them eg plenty of caves and live plants. Also make sure the parameters are all perfect and the tank is fully settled in.

If you see how I set up my 5ft community tank not especially for the Clowns but they are a feature of the tank.

keithgh added a good point. Even once you think the tank is ready for them, add some fish that are hardy to make sure the tank parameters arent going to fluctuate. Danios would be a good choice for this.
