Ive had my 30 litre tropical tank set-up now for about 3 weeks and I also brought a VERY large fake woodern plant that almost takes up the tank space, only leaving enough space round the edges and a little at the front.

I did have 6 guppies and 5 neons in there but over a period of 24-48 hours, ALL the guppies and 1 neon died.

Is this because they maybe a little stressed due to the fact of not having enough space in the tank?

Im confused?

Did you clean the plant first before putting it in? Perhaps it had some type a chemical or something on it from the store?

a little stressed? I'd put my money on that. get rid of the plant or buy a bigger tank. i'd say if it was a question of water quality your neons would have karked it first as has been my experience in the past.

I also brought a VERY large fake woodern plant

Did I read that correct a wooden plant????

Regardless of that did you follow all the correct procedures and test the tank before adding the fish? Also did you clean the plants and the wood.

Are the plants designed for aquariumm?

Just a few things for you to think about.

If you just started your tank three weeks before I think it was cycling. Check out this link
