I just fed my 30 gallon and 55 gallon a frozen blood worm treat and some light flakes. It is amazing how excited the fish get over them. My male cherry barbs turned fire red eating them. My RTBS was darker and deeper red. My German Ram looked as if he swam through a rainbow. Needless to say my Cory's and YoYo's went balistic LOL. What is it about blood worms that sets off fish so much. Mine dont get too excited about tubifex but red blood worms and they are silly almost. Anyone else experience this behavior?

Oh yeah, my fish all love bloodworms. I guess that they just taste and smell better than other foods, and drive fish batty.:%) Mosquito larve (bloodworms) are pretty healthy too, which makes them a good snack.

I feed my tank 5 frozen blocks of frozen Blood Worms three times a week. These blocks are not very big and rather thin.

I disolve them first then actually toss them into the tank so to get a good spread.

By doing this they seem to be spread to all levels, many are left on the leaves of the large Anubias for the top dwellers and at all levels. The large clowns will hunt for them in every nook and cranny often shifting small rocks to locate them.

In short they just love them. I buy 10 packets at a time it works out at 50% cheaper.

I also feed my fish Bloodworms & they go crazy for them. I try to feed them frozen foods 3/4 times a week, with Brine Shrimp & Bloodworms. I buy Hikari & i dissolve them in tank water & after a few minutes feed them. They just love them.

First time i gave my fish blood worms they got crazy.
You should see my zebra danios...My elephantfish, hoplo catfish and pleco.they just loved it
The zebra danios also tries to eat some waffers tablets too..but more difficult to take it since its on the bottom...But they try
I am giving them blood worms at night..so that the elephant fish can get some too, since he is never out of the cave.he comes out only at night time..few times i have seen him come out at daytime.

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

I set mine out a few mins before feeding. Then i squeeze out 2 clumps one for each side. Usually when I feed blood worms I dont drop in any shrimp pellets. I usually feed blood worms, light flakes, and some zuchinni for my plecs. The fish color up big time over that stuff. It is quite amazing..

I also feed frozen blood worms to my 2 Angels. Give them flakes and granules in the morning and then a treat every night (thier so spoiled) At this point they flip out every time I walk by the tank, thinking their getting some. If their wasn't a cover on the tank i'd swear they'd hit the ceiling!

I buy my frozen blood worms in this case like box and it comes with 50 sheets @ $20US. I dissolve them in the tank while holding them, and love to watch the Cichlids try to remove my fingers while eating the blood worms at the same timeThey go simply bizark, and livid while everyone tries to get their fair share...I was doing the same thing for the 125, but I like your idea Keith, and think I'll try it that way...

I know my 125 tank goes bonkers for the Hikary Tubifex worms, and I've had to start adding 6 to the tank...1 for Lucky the Betta, 1 for the Juvenile Albino Corries, 1 for the Adult Albinos, 1 for Harleys, 2 for neons, and sometimes a couple extra for good measure...it is hilarious and I swear they are trained, I only feed on the right hand side of the tank, so the lights on the left go out when it's feeding time:%)Watch the crowds come flying and keep the lid down till everyone is present and accounted for or you might have problems...heidi
