They eat the lettuce within 2 days. I heard that veggies turn poisionous after a couple days, Is this true? Thanks. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A lot of the harder veggies and particularly fruits, with their higher levels of fructose and other plant sugars can turn the tank into a bacterial playground. Pear and orange can be particularly bad, but none of them are as bad as a chunk of rotting beefheart or a dead fish! |

I put a full lettuce leaf in my 5ft tank regually I place a small flat smooth rock to keep in one location. It is usually all gone within one hr. Have a look inn My Profile and you will see why. Any uneaten food can/will polute the water. Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info Look here for my Betta 11Gal Desktop & Placidity 5ft Community Tank Photos Keith ![]() ![]() Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do. I VOTE DO YOU if not WHY NOT? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
